LEAD AND SUPPORT GROUND-BREAKING MOLTEN SALT EXPERIMENTAL CAMPAIGNS
Do you become energized by doing something out of the ordinary and do you see yourself thrive in a start-up environment? Do you like to use your skills to design and build test equipment while being aware of the need for critical documentation? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
At Seaborg Technologies we are developing a nuclear power plant concept fundamentally different from what exists today. By bringing to market an advanced and innovative molten salt reactor technology we are making nuclear an inexpensive, sustainable, and safe technology that can out-compete fossil fuels and revolutionise energy markets. The opportunity to make an impact on climate change and provide billions of people with cheap and accessible energy is what motivates all of us every day.
Creating an innovation that can impact the world isn’t easy and it requires a truly diverse group of people with the best of what humanity can offer. We know that we cannot do this alone, so we work closely with regulators, shipyards, academic institutions, and the nuclear industry all over the world to develop and identify needed technologies and materials so we can produce an advanced floating nuclear power plant.
This is your chance to become part of a collaborative research environment where you can chart an uncommonly diverse career and help change the world.
The start-up environment allows for great influence, the possibility to take on responsibility and grow but also demands flexibility.
THE ROLE
The Process Technician supports the execution of experimental campaigns with molten salt in small scale pilot set-ups. In the R&D Department, our Laboratory Team is responsible for upscaling benchtop molten salt chemistry experiments, focusing on establishing key capabilities within design, commissioning, and control and delivering quality process data to understand the chemical processes, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics in molten salts. In this role, you will commission and operate molten salt flow loops and other custom test rigs. The chemical technology testing feeds directly into the verification and validation of molten salt reactor concepts and contribute to Seaborg's final product design and operation.
