The position 

As a Senior Data Scientist/Statistician in CMC Development, you support the development of products, manufacturing processes and analytical methods together with four competent colleagues. You cooperate with colleagues from other areas of expertise across the organisation to solve their problems using advanced statistical methods. Good solutions balance business needs and quality requirements, and close collaboration with stakeholders is needed to ensure this. You will have the opportunity to leverage your exceptional communication skills and proactively engage with stakeholders within our organization to introduce and implement new ideas.

The statistical tools are often linear mixed models, design of experiments, general explorative statistics, multivariate statistics, and statistical process control. 

It is important that you are curious by nature in terms of new technologies and have an interest in areas like e.g., Machine learning, digital transformation etc. 

Qualifications 

You have a strong background in mathematical statistics as Master's of Science or Ph.D. in statistics or engineering. Preferably you have at least 5 years of experience from a similar position in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record.

About the Department 

You are part of the function CMC Digitalisation, Data & Outsourcing that delivers specialised support to CMC Development & Scaling. We are five Data Scientists/statisticians in the department. We value creativity, innovation, and the ability to work with people of different backgrounds and focus on standardising and optimising work processes. CMC Outsourcing and Data Science is a department of approx. 31 highly competent colleagues with the shared goal to support the Novo Nordisk drug development pipeline. The Data Science team in the department supports the Novo Nordisk drug development pipeline through statistical support and process optimisation.
