The University seeks to appoint an associate professor to the Department of Public Health to commence as soon as possible. Information on the Department can be found at: https://sund.ku.dk/.
The position is placed at the Copenhagen Health Complexity Center, which is a newly established research center within the Department. The vision of the center is to build a strong scientific foundation for understanding and acting on complex public health challenges. The Center leverages multi-layered nationwide social and health data combined with an interdisciplinary fusion of methods spanning data science, epidemiology, ethnography, econometrics, and systems science. Research focuses on the complex interplay of health, social, and environmental factors that shape individuals, families, and networks over time. A core value of the center is interdisciplinary collaboration, offering you the opportunity to actively engage as a collaborative partner in different projects depending on your interests and expertise.
Teaching is planned across the Department and the Associate Professor is expected to contribute to teaching across the study programs, which the Department contributes to.

Terms of employment
The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 5 years and the average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.
Salary and other terms and conditions of appointment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant professional organisations.
The position is covered by the Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities 2020.

Application procedure
After the expiry of the deadline for applications, the authorized recruitment manager selects applicants for assessment on the advice of the Appointments Committee. All applicants are then immediately notified whether their application has been passed for assessment. The Dean then appoints an expert assessment committee in order to make an assessment of the selected applicants for the specific post. Selected applicants are notified of the composition of the committee and each applicant has the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that relates to the applicant him/herself.
