Academic Employee (TAP-FU) to Center for Translational Neuromedicine Division of Neuron-Glia Circuitry, Center for Translational Neuromedicine, University of Copenhagen is looking for a highly motivated Academic Employee. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team engaged in neuroscience research.
Description of the Center and the research group Our center is part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences of the University of Copenhagen and is located at the Panum Institute. We currently have 55 employees and students. The Center comprises newly constructed laboratories with excellent facilities for neuroscience.
The Hirase group focuses on the interactions between cortical neurons and astrocytes in the context of learning and memory. To this end, various molecular genetic tools are engineered for cellular manipulation and functional visualization.

http://ctn.ku.dk/ Your job consists of: - Genotyping of transgenic mice and maintenance of transgenic mouse colonies including record keeping using PyRat
- Transcriptomic analysis and data curation using R and other related software
- Documentation of various protocols for experiments conducted in the laboratory
Profile We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic academic employee with the following competencies and experiences:
Essential experience and skills
- Programming skills in R with good documentation and code maintenance
- Advanced knowledge in molecular genomics and transcriptomics.
- Ability to use statistical analysis packages with correct knowledge
- Fluent in English skills, written and spoken
- You are helpful and a good colleague
Place of employment The place of employment is at Center for Translational Neuromedicine, University of Copenhagen. We offer stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment. Our research facilities include modern laboratories and office space.
Terms of employment The average weekly working hours are 10 hours per week.
The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 2 months. The starting date is 1 June 2025.
Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The monthly salary will be based on the number of years of work experience (seniority) with the possibility to negotiate a salary supplement based on prior experiences and qualifications. The employer will pay an additional 18,07 % to your pension fund.
