A newly established international collaborative research project in mechanisms in Parkinson’s disease (ERDYS, endoplasmic reticulum dysfunction in the pathophysiology of synucleopathies) will be initiated at the Department of Biomedicine & Dandrite. The Department of Biomedicine at Faculty of Health at Aarhus University we are inviting applications for a position as an academic and technical employee within the area of ultrastructural neuron cell biology as per 1 February 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a full-time event-restricted position, for 4 years.
The event is defined by the ERDYS collaborative project focuses on the pathophysiology of alpha-synuclein aggregation in axons and nerve terminals and its role in neuronal dysfunctions and the progression of Parkinson’s disease in neuronal and in vivo models. Partners of the project are Professors Poul Henning Jensen and Fulvio Reggiori at Department of Biomedicine & Dandrite, and the the Associate Professor Marijn Kuijpers at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour at Radboud University, The Netherlands. The ultrastructural studies of ERDYS will be carried out in the laboratory of Associate Professor Muriel Mari. The technician will be embedded in the group of Associate Professor Muriel Mari.
