Your key responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting functions, including revenue recognition, journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes.
  • Bookkeeping Management: Lead the team in the accurate recording and classification of financial transactions, ensuring proper account reconciliations and compliance with Danish GAAP.
  • Audit & Compliance: Manage internal and external audit processes, prepare schedules, reports, and responses, and collaborate with auditors, investors, and regulatory bodies (e.g., SKAT, DST) to ensure compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team of 2-5 finance professionals, providing coaching, career development, and performance management. Help ensure that accounting functions can scale to support 100% yearly ARR growth.
  • Month-End Close: Oversee the completion of all bookings, reconciliations, provisions, and invoicing to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting by the 5th working day of each month.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance data accuracy in our accounting systems.
  • International Growth: Support our global expansion by implementing processes to ensure compliance and smooth financial operations as we grow internationally.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, People & Culture, Product) to understand business needs and provide financial guidance to help align financial goals with company objectives.


What we're looking for:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a finance or accounting management/controller role, preferably within a fast-growing B2B SaaS or technology environment.
  • Team Leadership: Proven leadership experience or the ambition to manage and develop a high-performing accounting team in a fast-paced SaaS company.
  • Technical Skills: A tech-savvy individual who is eager to explore and implement new tools to optimize the current tech stack and improve processes.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Professional Accounting qualifications are a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights that drive key business decisions.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Working-level understanding of Danish is required.
