Accounting Manager - More than just numbers!

As Accounting Manager, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, overseeing all of the revenue accounting and reporting for our many evolving business initiatives. You will partner closely with Operations, Sales, and Product to drive smart and scalable business decisions.

Supporting the evolution of Vivino’s financial operations

Reporting to the Global Corporate Controller, you will have a vital role in supporting the evolution of Vivino’s financial operations and will support all aspects of accounting and compliance globally. You will oversee revenue/cogs recognition and reporting across all Vivino revenue streams, and develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization.

Revenue Recognition Expertise

• Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including but not limited to: GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, accounts receivable reconciliations, review journal entries, and review close package deliverables

• Review new contracts and transactions for potential accounting issues and document findings

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Support the business with new product launches and ongoing business initiatives

Systems and Process Optimization

• Evaluate current processes/tools and lead operational improvement initiatives to further streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close calendar, including working with Product and Engineering teams

Operations and Compliance

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable, including policy management and collections

• Self-starter who is excited to build new processes and procedures and build out a team for a growing company, with a focus on scalability and automation

• Sound knowledge of accounting/financial principles and theory, especially around revenue, ideally with a background in US GAAP and/or IFRS

• Proven analytical ability, strong problem-solving skills, and a drive to learn

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment

• Established background and experience in Finance, Accounting, or related fields, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
