AM Application Engineer

Orbex is looking for an experienced  AM (Additive Manufacturing) Application Engineer to work as part of our team developing and manufacturing our 3D printed rocket engine and turbomachinery.

We are looking for AM Application Engineer responsible for the production, building optimal support structures and working with our design and propulsion engineers to ensure that our designs are optimal for AM.
#160; Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Background of MSc in a relevant engineering discipline, like Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering and similar Proven experience with metal AM machines, ideally with experience in Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS, SLM, LPBF) Knowledge within metrology and quality management processes (QA, QC) in manufacturing  Solid experience and knowledge in metallography, including high performance nickel based alloys, aluminium and copper chromium zirconium   Background in data preparation, running AM machines, building optimal support structures and working with engineers to consult on design considerations  Experience with Materialise Magic and SolidWorks Desirable experience and traits:

This role is based in Copenhagen at Orbex’s Danish propulsion engineering and manufacturing site.
