The Department of Business Development and Technology (
BTECH) at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University, invites applications for assistant professorship positions in marketing.
An assistant professorship is a three-year full-time position. The starting date is 1 September 2025 or as agreed upon.
Assistant professors divide their time equally between research and teaching activities. The successful candidates will become part of the
AIROD research section.
Job descriptionAt BTECH, we have a strong focus on company collaboration, and a significant part of our work involves business partners. Therefore, it is important that candidates intend to conduct research on topics that are relevant to modern companies and potentially involve company collaboration.
We expect candidates to have a background in marketing with an interest in a subset of the following domains:
• Marketing management
• Digital marketing
• Marketing communication
• Marketing in the context of new technologies
• B2B and B2C marketing integrating sustainability
Candidates are expected to teach and supervise students at bachelor’s and master’s levels. Our study programme portfolio includes a MSc programme and a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration, as well as industry-oriented training.
Your qualificationsEmployment as an assistant professor requires a PhD degree in a relevant field.
Applicants are encouraged to describe how their research is important to industry. The description could include concrete collaborations, impact, dissemination activities, etc.

Terms of employmentThe appointment is made in accordance with the
Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the
Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State (in Danish).
