How does a work day look in your new job?

Your day begins at the office, where you’ll work closely with two immediate colleagues, including your manager. The atmosphere is informal, and we value your ideas and input. After the morning briefing, your tasks may involve administrative work or heading out to our offshore structures, where you’ll guide the team and ensure that safety standards are met, progress is achieved, and all resources and materials are available.

At lunchtime, we meet in the canteen to enjoy a meal from our catered lunch program and have great conversations—about work and beyond. We really value a strong sense of community, both in the office and at the social events organized by our staff association.

 After lunch, it’s back to your daily tasks and the work at hand.

Who are we?

Modern American Recycling Services Europe (M.A.R.S. Europe) is one of the leading players in dismantling and recycling large offshore structures. Our journey began in the USA, and since 2019, we’ve been operating out of Frederikshavn.

We currently employ 150 internal staff and collaborate with over 50 external colleagues. Our customers come from all over the world, and our workforce is as diverse as our projects. We’re ISO-certified and undergo annual internal and external audits.

Who are you?

Your background could be many things—perhaps you’re a skilled tradesperson, marine engineer, or ship mechanic, or you have experience in the offshore or maritime industry. What matters most is your ability to lead and work within safe and environmentally sound standards.

Knowledge of P&IDs is an advantage, but if this is new to you, we’ll ensure you’re properly trained. Experience in offshore or maritime work is a plus, and if you hold relevant certifications such as:

• Asbestos handling
• ADR certification
• Hazardous waste management
• Chemical safety

... that’s definitely a bonus.

You must be able to communicate in English, both written and spoken.
