The position
As the Associate Director for Global Health Equity, you will:

  • Develop and implement health equity strategies that align with Novo Nordisk's social sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate health equity into all aspects of the value chain, from research and development to commercialisation and patient support.
  • Lead initiatives to improve health equity for underserved people living with serious chronic diseases, including the development of targeted programmes and partnerships.
  • Represent Novo Nordisk in external forums and partnerships focused on health equity and access to care.

 

Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • A master's degree in business, public health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a strategy design and implementation role in a similarly complex organisation.
  • Experience in efficient stakeholder management both horizontally and vertically, with internal and external partners.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing access to medicines strategies that blend commercial and health equity ambitions is an advantage.

 

About the department
Global Public Affairs & Sustainability (GPAS) department is a dynamic global team focusing on Global Health Equity, Corporate Environmental Strategy, Global Public Affairs and Patient Relations, and ESG Strategy & Intelligence. The Global Health Equity team is dedicated to Novo Nordisk’s social responsibility strategy, aiming to improve access and affordability for vulnerable patients with diabetes or other serious chronic diseases such as obesity. We collaborate with patient organisations, NGOs, and other partners to tackle health equity challenges in low-resource settings worldwide. The department comprises a Global Diabetes Health Equity team, a Global Obesity Health team, and an Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships team.
