The Position
Imagine checking your calendar for today’s work: your day starts with a mix of board meetings, following up with your team, and overseeing current production. The rest of the morning is spent checking in on employees handling critical tasks, ensuring they have the support they need. Later, you participate in a New Product Project meeting, where you get an overview of the status of the next campaign for a new product. You know there have been challenges with timelines and resources, particularly in key automation tasks.
In the afternoon, you have a 1:1 meeting with an employee to discuss their Individual Development Plan , review the DV flow board , and set aside time to align with the automation team lead on a time-sensitive task for the upcoming campaign. Before heading home, you wrap up with a final meeting on updating the production plan for the next three months.
Does this sound like an exciting day to you? If so, you should apply for the position of Associate Manager for the New Product Team at our API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) production facility in Hillerød .
You will lead a team of eight professionals focused on implementing new products in our current facilities. Their work includes process tech transfer , documentation, reporting, regulatory filings, and inspections. The team consists of six process supporters (three in upstream processing and three in purification) and two Tech Transfer Leads , who coordinate projects internally and externally across the organization.
As Associate Manager , you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of production campaigns , coordinating across teams, managing daily operations, and developing your team to navigate an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage tasks within the team, prioritizing as needed.
- Ensure the team is united toward common goals and collaborates effectively with other production teams.
- Foster a strong can-do attitude while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Drive strategic direction to benefit both present and future operations.
- Act as a role model for compliance , embedding it into daily work.
- Inspire and support the team in optimizing systems and procedures .
- Develop a deep understanding of processes, tasks, and team strengths to address challenges effectively.
- Set team objectives and take responsibility for delivering results.
- Manage strong stakeholder relationships across the organization.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you should have:
- A Master's degree in Biotech, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 3 years of leadership or project management experience .
- Experience in pharmaceutical production and/or development .
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards .
- Knowledge of upstream processing, recovery, or purification (a plus).
- Strong communication skills in both Danish and English (written and spoken).
- The ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
You should be able to stay calm under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently.

You will be part of a business area that produces Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) for patients worldwide. Our mission is to support individuals living with Hemophilia and other chronic diseases . Our department consists of four support teams , working closely with three other production departments and additional teams.
