The starting date is 1 August 2025 or as agreed upon.

Job description

At BTECH, we have a strong focus on company collaboration, which is reflected in our research and study programmes. For this reason, we expect that you, based on a background in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or similar, conduct applied research within a subset of the following disciplines:

  • Product lifecycle management: Relationships between product design, product development, production and recycling/decommissioning.
  • Complex manufacturing systems and layouts, including machining, assembly, modularization, automation, stocking, and digitalization.
  • Manufacturing and global supply chains, including topics such as reshoring and nearshoring.
  • General considerations with respect to manufacturing such as quality, compliance, sustainability, standards, and regulation.
Successful candidates are expected to contribute to our students’ educational development. For this reason, you are expected to teach and supervise students at all levels, including supervision of PhD students. Our study programs include, among others, an MSc in Engineering (Technology Based Business Development) as well as two Bachelor of Engineering programmes in Forretningsudvikling (Business Development; cyberphysical systems/product and system development) and Global Management and Manufacturing (production and manufacturing systems). Candidates should therefore be prepared to teach courses in one or more of the following topics: Operations management, supply chain management, management of technology, and technology-based business development.
