The position
You will join our In vivo Pharmacology team focusing on Diabetes Pharmacology, working with both rodents and large animals. This position is a hands-on role working within large animal pharmacology. As an Associate Scientist/Research Scientist in Diabetes Pharmacology you will conduct pre-clinical in vivo pharmacology studies in pigs to validate targets, mature targets, and understand modes of action.

Qualifications
You have a M.Sc. in Pharmacology, Biology, Veterinary Sciences or a related field with some relevant experience or a Ph.D. in the mentioned fields.

About the department
You will join Diabetes Pharmacology which is part of Integrated Physiology Research within Global Drug Discovery in Novo Nordisk, which specialises in the discovery of biological medicines for the treatment of cardiometabolic and rare diseases. Integrated Physiology Research is a global function consisting of five departments (located in Måløv/Ganløse, Denmark and Boston, US) with in vivo pharmacology and microphysiological systems at our core. The research site is a vibrant and inclusive workplace hosting scientists, post-docs, PhD students, research assistants and technicians and has an international work environment.
The department delivers high quality rodent and large animal in vivo data with a translational focus within diabetes and is driving ideation based on scientific excellence within diabetes physiology. We collaborate closely with our colleagues within Integrated Physiology Research, In vitro Biology, Global Research Technology, Global Translation and beyond to drive projects forward and translate our findings into novel and effective treatments for diabetes.
