At RiACT, we are shaping the future of industrial automation. Our software platform RiFLEX empowers system integrators and manufactures to create flexible, intelligent automation solutions—fast, scalable, and easy!
Our team is composed of leading software engineers specializing in cyber-physical systems, robotic software architectures, and control and vision algorithms, as well as experienced business and organisational professionals dedicated to fostering a thriving, inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and inspired to contribute.
Founded in 2019, we’re a fast-growing startup based in Copenhagen. With our first customer projects already underway, we’re now deploying our software, RiFLEX, across Europe. For our journey we're now looking for an Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in building robotic solutions and Python programming to join our growing team. If you're a hands-on person who loves learning by doing, enjoys solving real-world challenges, and isn't afraid to get your hands dirty—then this role is made for you.
In this role, you will build and deploy automation solutions using our software platform, RiFLEX. You will develop and adapt Python-based control software for robotic systems and production cells, with a focus on automation applications such as machine tending and pick-and-place. Your work will also involve integrating and configuring robotic arms and industrial automation components in real-world environments. As part of the role, you will travel to customer sites to install, test, and commission robotic systems, ensuring smooth handovers and long-term value. Along the way, you'll contribute by sharing insights from your field experience to help us continuously improve our platform and tools.
You bring 1–4 years of experience in automating and integrating robotic systems preferably in industrial environments. You have hands-on experience with robotic arms, such as Universal Robots, KUKA, ABB, or FANUC, and you're comfortable working across both software and hardware domains. You also demonstrate strong programming skills in Python and software understanding.
You probably have a mechatronics background with knowledge of industrial hardware, sensors, and control systems - you have a mind and hands made for building automation solutions —and you're ready to travel to customer sites to ensure smooth installations and high-quality support.
If you read and interpret mechanical drawings, supporting integration and installation of automation systems that’s a big plus.
This is a key role in a fast-growing startup, where you’ll have a real impact on how we deploy our solutions and scale our technology. You’ll be part of a team that shares a strong passion for robotics, with plenty of opportunities to grow professionally and shape your role as we evolve. We foster a culture driven by curiosity, nerdiness, and a shared love for problem-solving—combined with kindness and inclusiveness. You'll join an international work environment, with colleagues from nine different nationalities, bringing diverse perspectives to everything we do. Travel activity to customers primarily in Denmark but with time all across Europe.
Please attach your CV and highlight the experience most relevant to this role. Include a brief motivational note (max. 5 lines) answering: Why RiACT?—we’re curious to know what excites you about joining us.
We would like for our new colleague to start in May 2025 if possible.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Chief People Officer, Anna-Sophia Langfrits either directly on LinkedIn or by reaching our through contact information.
Welcome to the future of automation!
