FlavorScale is a foodtech startup on a mission to revolutionize how people discover and connect with eateries. We’re building a platform that prioritizes both users and restaurants, enhancing the food discovery experience through innovative design and intuitive interfaces.
Your Role
At FlavorScale, we’re focused on building a robust and scalable platform that serves both foodies and eateries. We’re seeking a talented and entrepreneurial Part-time Backend Developer Intern to help us shape the technical foundation of our platform. You will work closely with our lead developers, contributing to the development, maintenance, and optimization of backend services that ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all users. Your focus will be on creating reliable, secure, and scalable code that supports our innovative features and future growth.
Your skills
Proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in FastAPI or similar frameworks.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Expertise in building and maintaining automated testing systems using frameworks like pytest, unittest, or Robot Framework.
Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger.
Experience with Docker for application deployment (optional but highly valued).

At FlavorScale, we’re not just another startup—we’re a team of experienced, second-time founders with big ambitions to become the world’s leading food discovery platform.
Joining FlavorScale means gaining real-world experience across diverse departments, getting hands-on with different responsibilities, and networking with entrepreneurs and software developers. The first 1-2 months will be an unpaid internship to assess your skills, after which the position will transition to a paid role.

Practical information
FlavorScale is located at the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE) in Frederiksberg, where we share facilities with other innovative startups. We offer free coffee and we value a positive atmosphere with regular team-building activities. While we encourage working from the office to foster collaboration, remote work is also an option.
