Become our new Entrepreneur in Residence (Part-Time) at the European Space Agency's Business Incubator in Denmark - DTU Space

The European Space Agency Business Incubation Center Denmark (ESA BIC DK) is looking for a hands-on business developer (entrepreneur-in-residence) with a strong commercial foundation to join our team part time. 

What will you do
The Entrepreneur-in-residence will play a key role in ESA BIC DK at DTU by supporting start-ups associated with the regional incubation hub and engaging with key stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Tasks include:  

• Coaching the space-tech startups which are part of ESA Business Incubation Centre DK
• Supporting our regional ESA BIC start-ups in developing their startups commercially and navigating the startup funding landscape
• Advising and assisting in startup-corporate collaborations
• Support ESA BIC DK in relationship & capacity building with/for Space-investors
• Help startups assess the space-connection of their projects and offer support in the program application process

Professional Qualifications 
We are looking for a candidate with:  

• Extensive experience in coaching deep-tech startups – specifically with a focus on commercial development
• Entrepreneurial experience, either from working in a startup yourself or from elsewhere in the Danish startup ecosystem. 
• A MSc within Business, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar   
• Strong networking skills and a good knowledge of the Danish startup scene
• Previous experience within the space sector is not a prerequisite, but a passion for space is definitely an asset.

You will be employed at the Technical University of Denmark. You will be reporting to Manager of DTU Space Ventures, Sune Nordentoft Lauritsen at DTU and be an integral part of the ESA BIC Denmark project organization comprising colleagues at Aarhus, Aalborg, Odense and at DTU.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).

The weekly average working hours are 15-20.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.

ESA BIC DK was established in 2020 as the Danish branch of the European ESA network.
