Business Development Director

Here is what the job entails
As Business Development Director in Heat/Cooling, you will play a key role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, particularly within utilities, to strengthen Kamstrup’s position through innovative strategies and partnerships. You will shape commercial strategies, build partnerships, and develop customer-centric solutions that drive growth. Given the evolving nature of the business, we are open to candidates with diverse backgrounds in industries, markets, and geographies.

More specifically, you will be:

  • Developing and executing commercial strategies to strengthen Kamstrup’s position in the utility sector
  • Building a pipeline of new business opportunities with long-term growth potential
  • Collaborating with customers to create solutions that generate mutual value
  • Aligning business development efforts across business development, sales, software, hardware and product management
  • Driving commercial excellence by optimizing go-to-market strategies and business models
  • Representing Kamstrup as an industry thought leader through speaking engagements, publications, and public affairs initiatives
  • You can expect approximately 30 travel days per year, depending on market priorities and project needs.

    Meet your future team
    Reporting directly to our Senior Vice President - Heat/Cooling, you will be part of the Heat/Cooling leadership team, where you will play a key role in shaping our strategy. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Software, Hardware and Strategy aligning strategies and maximizing business impact.     We are looking for a Business Development Director with a strong strategic mindset and the ability to drive commercial growth. To succeed in this role, you need to be business-oriented, proactive, and skilled at identifying and executing new opportunities across different markets.

    In order to succeed, we imagine that you:

  • Bring extensive experience in business development, strategy, or commercial leadership, ideally in B2B or technical industries
  • Possess a strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to identify new market opportunities and develop business models
  • Excel in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration across cultures and geographies
  • Have analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, bringing structure and clarity to a dynamic business environment
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing or related fields – or equivalent experience
  • As we are an international organization it is important that you are fluent in English. Danish will be considered an advantage.
