MyDefence is searching for a motivated and organized colleague to join our growing purchasing team. In this role, you will gain valuable experience in all aspects of the procurement process, from sourcing and evaluating suppliers to managing purchase orders, and you will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure we secure the best possible deals for MyDefence. This newly created role is a great opportunity to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment, gain valuable hands-on experience in the procurement field, and be part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Vendor management: Assist our Strategic Buyer with sourcing and qualifying new vendors. Participate in vendor selection based on quality, cost, and delivery terms.
Market research: Research and compare pricing and product specifications from various suppliers
Quotation management: Request for Quotation (RFQ) creation and management
Procurement process: Prepare and process purchase orders
Order tracking: Track order status and ensure timely deliveries
Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Buyer role.
Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Language skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Personal skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a team player with a curious mindset and a positive attitude.
