YOUR TEAM
You will become part of a dedicated buying- and design team in a vibrant, informal work environment with helpful colleagues and room for creativity. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the buying team, you will work in close cooperation with our design- and sales department. Together with the Category Manager, you will ensure that we have the right quality, price, and delivery, matching the SELECTED DNA, values and our customers’ expectations. With strong business acumen, structure, and ambitions you will ensure your category has the best options for growth and development. Sustainability is a key value in our business, and in close cooperation with our sourcing offices around the world, you will help develop and optimize the good relations with international suppliers while staying updated on new qualities and possibilities in the market. 

Your responsibilities will among others, include:

Developing and creating collections in close cooperation with buyers, designers, and suppliers

Production and delivery follow-ups

Inspirational trips and supplier visits 

Sourcing of new qualities in close cooperation with the sourcing offices

Continuous quality control

Maintaining style information, price lists, and deadlines

Coaching and developing apprentices.

YOUR PROFILE
You are ambitious, with good business acumen, excellent negotiating skills, and a focus on quality, price, and trends. As a person, you are independent, proactive, and structured, enabling you to keep a sense of perspective in a fast-paced and creative environment. You possess strong communication and collaboration skills that foster good relations, both internally and externally. Furthermore, you are curious and see the importance and value in the details.

Qualifications:

Education within buying or a related field

A minimum of two years of buying experience, preferably within Jersey

Solid numeracy and business acumen

Fluent in English, written and spoken

Coaching experience.

Travel activity is to be expected.
