Position
You will join our Strategic Sourcing Department in the Energy category, with a specialized focus on decarbonising our global thermal portfolio and managing large-scale utility contracts for e.g. water. Here you will contribute to our ongoing efforts to be an industry leader operating on 100% renewable energy. You will be working closely with senior team members, suppliers and partners guaranteeing the right contractual and strategic set-up to support supplies for our ambitious demands.
Key roles and responsibilities will include:
Internal and external stakeholder engagement across various energy topics, focusing primarily on thermal decarbonisation and utilities. There will be cross-over with Novo’s electrification efforts, such as PPAs and on-site solar solutions.
Manage category fundamentals such as commercial contracting, supplier collaboration structures, and risk assessments according to internal procedures.
Foster category transparency by connecting projects and ideas across various fields, including sustainability and data management.
You will be working with suppliers and networks both in and outside Europe, hence there may be up 10 - 20 days of travel activities per year. This position holds strong opportunities for personal and professional development. Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should ideally have:
Master’s degree or higher, ideally in thermal or electrical engineering; a “maskinmester” education would also be considered favorably.
Proven experience from renewable energy consulting, a renewable energy developer, a utility company, or similar.
A keen interest in working with senior s1takeholders, pitching complex ideas in an understandable manner, and structured project management with clear deliverables.
Interest in driving a strong sustainability agenda around renewable energy.
Written and spoken fluency in both English and Danish.
Moreover, proficiency in an additional EU language is a plus. Additionally, your experience of business intelligence tools such as Power BI would be an asset.
As a person, you have a strategic mind-set and an ability to quickly understand different business models and energy industry dynamics. You are a skilled professional with a strong analytical mindset and a solid understanding of energy concepts. Finally, you enjoy working in a multicultural and high-paced environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’, and a healthy sense of humor to your work, also when under pressure.
About the department
Strategic Sourcing, Inbound Materials and Services (SSIMS) is the central sourcing unit within External Supply in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply (PSQIT) division. We are responsible for securing that we have suppliers in place to support Novo Nordisk’s global pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international supplier networks, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that helps millions of people around the world to live with chronic diseases.
