Aerial Tools is an innovative deep tech and cleantech startup that aims to revolutionize the renewable energy sector. We are on an exciting growth trajectory and are looking for a commercially driven Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to take our sales and business development efforts to the next level.

The Role

As CCO, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a winning commercial strategy. This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role where you’ll define our go-to-market strategy, actively drive sales, and lead a high-performance commercial team to accelerate revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Strategy – Develop and execute a growth-driven commercial plan, aligning sales, marketing, and business development efforts.
  • Sales Execution & Expansion – Drive direct sales efforts, personally engage with potential customers, and close high-value deals.
  • Lead Generation & Pipeline Management – Build and optimize a strong sales pipeline through outbound efforts, strategic partnerships, and marketing collaboration.
  • Revenue Growth & Forecasting – Define pricing models, optimize sales processes, and ensure revenue targets are met and exceeded.
  • Team Leadership & Scaling – Recruit, train, and manage a world-class sales team as we grow.
  • Customer & Market Insights – Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
  • CRM & Performance Analytics – Implement data-driven sales management practices using tools like HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Stakeholder & Partnership Management – Develop and nurture key relationships with clients, partners, and investors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record in senior commercial and sales leadership roles, with a strong sales execution background.
  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, and revenue growth strategies.
  • Hands-on approach—comfortable making calls, sending emails, and securing meetings.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with experience handling high-value deals.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities—scaling and leading sales teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce) and data-driven sales optimization.
  • Experience in international markets and the renewable energy sector (preferred but not required).
  • Fluent in English (additional European languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, or German are a plus).
