Chief Engineer for Fishing Company I HIGH SALARY

Nordvikar is seeking a skilled and dedicated Chief Engineer on behalf of a client in the fishing industry.

About the Position: In the fishing industry, compensation is based on a percentage of the catch with a fixed advance salary per month. The remainder of the total amount is paid out at the end of the year, based on the number of sea days. The more sea days, the higher the potential earnings. Please note that there is no holiday pay in the fishing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Operation and maintenance of a Wartsila V8 31 engine.
• Ensuring the optimal performance of the engine and equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairs during voyages.
• Adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Education as a Chief Engineer or equivalent.
• Experience with the operation and maintenance of marine engines, preferably Wartsila.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical understanding.
• Ability to work under demanding conditions at sea.
