Chief Project Officer – Pioneering EPCM projects at Everfuel

Everfuel is a leading hydrogen company, committed to transforming the energy landscape through green hydrogen production. Their brand-new electrolysis facility in Fredericia will be the foundation for future hydrogen production facilities. As Chief Project Officer (CPO), you will ensure the next steps by leading the development of Everfuel’s own Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) process.

Chief of projects
In this newly created role, you will take Everfuel’s ambitious plans and turn them into executable projects in the +100M EUR range. Your responsibility will be to oversee the project maturation and execution of large-scale hydrogen production facilities, from concept to completion, including bringing the project to investment decision in the Board of Directors. You are responsible to develop and execute the EPCM strategy, including the prioritization of inhouse vs. outsourced competencies. You ensure that every project runs on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will build and lead the key project functions – Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Power Substations. This while driving and securing alignment with Everfuel’s broader strategic goals and ensuring strong collaboration with the other functions in Everfuel.

As a core member of the executive team, you will influence top-level decisions, and lead projects that will shape the future of green energy, not just in Denmark but globally.

Your qualifications
You are an experienced leader with a strong track record in managing large-scale industrial projects – ideally in the renewable energy sector, process industry, oil and gas, or similar large-scale infrastructure projects. You have a degree in engineering, or a related field. An MBA or similar business qualification is an advantage, providing strategic and operational insights to drive success. You bring in-depth knowledge of EPCM processes, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where not two days are the same.

• Strategic in your approach, but not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the details.
• Experienced in managing multi-disciplinary teams and fostering collaboration across diverse functions.
• Comfortable navigating complex challenges and driving solutions that keep projects on track.
