Your new role

In this position as our new Civil Engineer for wind projects, you will work from HQ in Søborg, primarily with Wind Projects. Your workday will include a broad variety of tasks with focus on overseeing the design of civil layouts for our onshore wind projects and optimizing civil works (roads, hardstands, crane pads, earthworks, etc.).

Areas of responsibility related primarily to onshore wind projects:

• Assess project feasibility from development to construction stages. Evaluate compliance of park layouts with site-specific requirements and project constraints.
• Collect and combine project information from the Project Development department, local developers and EPC engineering disciplines in relation to park design.
• Drive project layout design process in order to create optimal park designs for utility-scale wind projects.
• Optimize design and placement of civil works (eg roads, platforms, hardstands, water management measures) in collaboration with EPC colleagues and externals.
• Prepare comprehensive construction documentation, including layouts designs in AutoCAD, supportive documentation, construction cross sections and details.
• Follow up throughout the project construction phase with the Construction Team and work on projects'  As – Built documentation.
• Perform site visits (5-10 days/year).

Your profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Min. 2 years of experience from a similar role in the wind industry.
• Highly proficient in layout design using AutoCAD, Civil3D and GIS.
• Experienced with designing on complex topography, estimating earthworks, and working with DMT terrain models.
• Experienced with road and embankment design.
• Experienced with civil works execution for wind projects.
• Proficient in English orally and in writing.
