As a Computer Vision Engineer - Intern, you will be working on improving our obstacle avoidance pipeline. Your responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Work with RGB(D) sensors for 3D reconstruction and obstacle detection
Use fiducial markers and multi-view geometry (stereometry) for reconstructing the environment
Test different 3D reconstruction techniques
Perform camera calibration for accurate pose estimation
Investigate the performances of various computer vision algorithms for obstacle detection from classical (edge detection, distortion correction, feature detection) to modern approaches (deep learning)

Hands-on experience with a real-life mobile robot for testing and experimentation
Work remotely, but sometimes work with the robot will be necessary
Work with a variety of sensors
Relevant (ongoing) education, ideally robotics or software engineering
Knowledge of linear algebra and geometric transformation
Understanding of statistics and probability theory is a plus, but not required

Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python
Feeling comfortable working in a Linux environment
Familiarity with Git
Experience with ROS2
Understanding of computer vision techniques (SIFT, Sobel filter, Canny detector, neural networks)
Familiarity with 3D vision is a plus, but not a requirement
Fluent in English
