Are you a recent graduate and have either a bachelor's degree, HD, or a MSc and are you passionate about sourcing? Then the job as an Assistant Buyer in our Fresh, Frozen and Indulgence team might be something for you.

Coop Trading represents Coop in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and SOK in Finland and negotiate Nordic agreements and develop products for our Private Brands portfolio. The portfolio encompasses both food and daily non-food items within our private brands, Xtra, Coop, and Änglamark.

Key responsibilities:

• Continuously work with and achieve operational excellence, including competitive prices, service level and total cost of ownership
• Learn and follow through on negotiation including collection of data in-order to perform these negotiations successfully
• Develop and perform excellent stakeholder management towards our 4 partners and within Coop Trading
• Plan and follow through on development of new products, including market analysis and supplier engagement
• Develop and maintain a range of products with excellent price/value perception to build leading private brands 
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our ways of working, e.g. on brand building and price negotiations
• Administrative task to help Strategic Buyers must be expected

Qualifications:

• You have a “one step ahead” and ambitious mindset with a desire to make a difference and challenge the status quo
• You are structured and very detail-oriented, understanding the high importance of data discipline
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and accountability for your work
• You have solid English skills (knowledge of Nordic languages is a bonus)
• You have eighter a bachelor’s degree, a HD or a MSc
• You are a team player and understand the value of collaboration
• You are service-minded and attentive to your stakeholders
• You are an experienced user of the Office suite, with a general aptitude for IT systems

Place of work: Currently, our office is in Taastrup – however, we are moving to Vesterbro in January 2025. It is a requirement to be able to meet at the office every week; however, it is still possible to work from home a few days a week.
