We are looking for a passionate and experienced Creative Design Lead to join our team at SELECTED FEMME in Brande, Denmark.

YOUR TEAM

You will take on a central position in our Design team, working closely with designers across FEMME and HOMME and talented professionals across the organisation.

YOUR ROLE

As Creative Design Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's future, translating your creative vision into compelling designs, overseeing the design process, and staying abreast of industry trends and innovations. Your foundation to succeed with this is found in your ability to decode and maintain our brand DNA.

This is a strategic role where you will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, champion sustainable practices, and act as a key sparring partner to the Design Manager. As Creative Design Lead you will have no management responsibilities.

 More specifically, your role includes:

• Leading the creative vision and direction of the design team, ensuring that all collections align with the brand identity and target audience.
• Overseeing the entire design process, from initial conception through production.
• Collaborating effectively with teams across functions, including Buying, Marketing, Sales, etc.
• Staying informed on current trends and innovations within the fashion industry.
• Acting as a strategic sparring partner to the Design Manager on creative direction.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of the international fashion market, including current trends, consumer behavior, and brand positioning.
• Prioritizing and incorporating sustainable practices and materials in the design process, aligning with our commitment to responsible fashion.

YOUR PROFILE

To succeed in driving our design vision forward, it is essential that you have a passion for fashion, keen eye for detail, and strong understanding of the consumer behaviour, brand DNA and innovative technologies. It comes natural to you to take initiative, and you thrive on taking responsibility and working independently.

You have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, enabling you to clearly articulate your design concepts and collaborate effectively with designers and teams across the entire organisation. You have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

 QUALIFICATIONS

• A degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• 5+ years' experience as a Creative Design Lead or similar role with an international womenswear brand
• Strong understanding of the international fashion market, including consumer behaviour and brand positioning.
• Keen awareness of trending styles and innovative technologies
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software
• Understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric knowledge is valued, but not a prerequisite
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
