The Role: 
We are seeking an enthusiastic Danish teacher to join our dedicated team, eager to take on the responsibility of creating an engaging, hands-on Danish curriculum for grades 2–8, enriched with elements of music and/or drama. The ideal candidate understands that foreign language learning must be interactive and relevant, incorporating games, play, and other dynamic methods to foster engagement and real-world application. 

You will play a vital role in helping both Danish and international students develop their Danish language skills and understanding of Danish culture. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Teach Danish as a first or second language to students aged 7-13. 
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. 
• Foster a love for the Danish language and culture in a supportive, inclusive environment. 
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Danish learning across the curriculum. 
• Contribute to school events and activities that celebrate Danish traditions. 

Qualifications: 

• A teaching degree or relevant qualifications in education. 
• Advantagous to have experience in teaching Danish as a first or second language (preferred in an international or multicultural setting). 
• Fluency in Danish and proficiency in English. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students from various cultural backgrounds. 
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student-centered learning. 
• Effective classroom management skills, grounded in the understanding that children thrive in well-structured lessons, combined with the ability to consistently approach students with kindness, compassion, and understanding.
