ROLE DATA ANALYTICS ENGINEER

The Data, Infrastructure, and Optimization Team is responsible for building and maintaining data products and enabling new insights for better decision-making, objective setting, and monitoring within SOUNDBOKS. The team is also in charge of analyzing and automating processes that are key to increasing the company's efficiency.
As the Data Analytics Engineer, you’ll drive the process of scoping, clarifying, and implementing solutions for the data and reporting needs that will have a real impact on the business. You'll strengthen and scale our technical data foundation, ensuring teams across the company can consistently unlock insights that drive our growth.
Okay, let’s make things a little more concrete. Here’s what we expect your daily life to look like:
Driving Impactful Data Solutions
You’ll scope, drive, and implement solutions for data and reporting needs with real impact on business operations and productivity.
You’ll gain an understanding of stakeholders’ processes to capture and clarify data requirements in collaboration with department specialists.
You’ll create new reports and data solutions in Power BI and make them available for relevant stakeholders to access and make use of.
Building, Managing & Refining Data Systems
You’ll integrate new data sources and automations (Weld).
You’ll continuously create and improve data models in Databricks using PySpark.
You’ll co-own and maintain the code, data models, pipelines, and the release process.
You’ll hold ownership to maintain and manage the Power BI platform.
You’ll carry out measures that improve data quality and governance.
Enabling Growth & Efficiency
You’ll actively help other teams become more efficient in their work.
You’ll take on initiatives to mature and refine the data function.
In order to become a success in this role, we believe that your profile should be aligned with the bullets listed below. However, we acknowledge that success can take many forms, so please do apply even if you don’t tick all the boxes.
You have 3 or more years of experience in working with Data Engineering or a related role.
You’re skilled in SQL, Python (PySpark to be exact) and a data warehousing (preferably via Databricks).
You carry solid knowledge in AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google Cloud, or another cloud service provider.
You’ve definitely worked with a visualization tool before - ideally PowerBI, but it might have also been Tableau, Looker or other.
You know how to work with Git for version control and GitHub for collaboration.
You’re skilled in getting insights from stakeholders on how particular dashboards are used, which then allows you to structure them in a user-friendly way.
Ideally, you’ve worked with a business whose data functions cover areas such as e-commerce, marketing, supply chain, finance, or a combination of them.
You’ve got the know-how to move a project from start to finish, making sure everything’s in place for success.
With your open and proactive communication, you’re good at building trust and rapport with the people you work with.
