We are seeking a passionate and skilled Product Owner with a blend of technical business intelligence expertise and a strategic mindset, with strong business partnering skills and business acumen. You will join one of our Data & Analytics product teams and play a pivotal role in establishing a data-driven culture, improving business performance, and supporting strategic decisions at Ascendis Pharma.

You will be joining a team consisting of 3 colleagues with room for growth, and report directly to Lene Larsen, People Leader in Global IT. You will be based in our Headquarters in Hellerup.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Work closely with Finance, Quality, HR and Product Supply to define product vision, gather product requirements, and ensure successful delivery of Data & Analytic Solutions in collaboration with our Application product teams.
• Determining the purpose of creating a data product, understanding its users and needs through the lens of product thinking.
• Ensure the data product meets all requirements, including providing a comprehensive metadata description and adhering to accepted standards and data governance guidelines.
• Make strategic decisions on managing the data product backlog, including prioritizing requirements, clarifying them, splitting stories, and approving implemented items.
• Gather insights to align expectations and remove any inconsistencies or conflicting requirements.
• Actively contribute by providing valuable feedback on the practical implementation of data governance rules.
• Clarifying requirements and making informed decisions on challenges affecting development and implementation with the team. Furthermore, you will help empower the team to be self-driven, efficient and collaborative.

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold a relevant academic degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Engineering or equivalent with +3 years of experience in Product management within Data & Analytics.  

In this role, you act as a bridge between data teams, stakeholders, and end-users, translating complex data concepts into actionable insights that drive value and innovation.

Experience in Pharma, Finance, Product Supply and Quality is an advantage.

Furthermore, you have:

• Ideally you are familiar with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with Agile ways of working

• Effective communication and collaboration skills is essential.

To succeed in this role, we also expect you to have a unique set of technical skills, including the ability to extract insights from data & identify patterns, understand programming languages such as Python and SQL, and have a strong foundation in data technologies such as data warehouses, databases, data lakes, etc.

Travel: 5-10 days per year.
