YOUR MISSION 

As a part of the Data Foundation Team, you are committed to managing and transforming data into actionable insights that drive trading decisions.  

Dive into what your day-to-day tasks will be as a Data Engineer: 

• Design and implement efficient SQL databases and ETL processes to support our ongoing data operations and analytics needs. 
• Utilize tools like Kafka for real-time data streaming and optionally integrate Apache Flink and Kubernetes to enhance our data processing capabilities. 
• Streamline and map data flows to optimize accessibility and efficiency, ensuring data is cleanly integrated into our systems. 
• Implement robust data validation processes to maintain the integrity and accuracy of our data throughout its lifecycle. 
• Develop state-of-the-art data solutions that significantly reduce latency, making real-time data swiftly available to predictive models and analyses. 
• Help optimize data storage management and ensure scalability and reliability of our data infrastructure. 
• Explore new technologies and frameworks that improve our data ingestion, storage, and retrieval processes, contributing to the overall robustness of our data systems.

LET US SWITCH THE FOCUS TO YOU 

We are looking for a candidate who is not only technically skilled but also naturally curious and critical in their approach to problem-solving in data management. Your qualifications and experience should ideally include: 

• Solid experience with event streaming. We are using Kafka. If you do not know Kafka, similar relevant technologies could be RabbitMQ.  
• Proficient in SQL, Apache Flink and Kubernetes with substantial experience in ETL tools and processes is highly desirable and considered a plus, although not strictly required. 
• An analytical mindset with a capacity to work on complex data architectures, possibly assuming some Data Architect responsibilities. 
• Experience in data storage management or a keen interest in developing skills in this area while keeping up to date with current tendencies. 

Personal skills: 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges and technologies. 
• A proactive team player who can also excel in autonomous projects. 
• A commitment to continuous learning and improvement in a dynamic work environment.
