Join our Data & AnalytiX team as our Data Engineer and contribute to our mission of delivering innovative data solutions and automating manual data processes. As part of our cross-functional group, you'll collaborate on cutting-edge projects that provide actionable insights for one of Europe's largest residential companies. We are a small team that focuses on agile development and strive to challenge the existing in order to improve our work.
As a Data Engineer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the backend of our BI solutions. Your immediate responsibilities will involve developing and maintaining our Microsoft Fabrics platform. You should be comfortable taking over existing solutions and refactor code into new optimized models based on best practice. Our solutions draw from wide variety of data sources and are evolving from Excel-based systems to a sophisticated cloud-based infrastructure. Our analytical platform is built on Microsoft Fabrics, where we use both notebooks as well as data pipelines to consolidate all analytical tools onto a unified platform.
Collaboration is central to our development process. You'll work closely with business users to gather requirements and ensure solutions align with their needs. Additionally, you'll collaborate with two other development teams and build one centralized version of the truth. This role reports to Gullbrand Gillund, Lead Data & AnalytiX, and is based in our modern facilities in central Copenhagen. Occasional travel may be required, but no fixed schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Analytics Engineer, your core responsibilities encompass:
◾ Developing and maintaining BI solutions in Power B
◾ Structuring tasks within our Azure DevOps setup.
◾ Prioritizing data quality while building solutions.
◾ Documenting solution designs
◾ Crafting data models that facilitate self-service BI.
To fit this role, we look for you who:
◾ Have a master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, BI Development, Mathematics, Physics, Programming, Statistics, or related fields.
◾ Possess a strong analytical mindset honed through experience with quantitative modeling and managing large datasets.
◾ Are comfortable working within an agile and transparent methodology.
◾ Demonstrate proficiency in ETL tools and data processing techniques (SQL, M-query).
◾ Have experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and DAX programming.
◾ Have an understanding of the Power Platform and configuring Power BI datasets and hands-on experience with agile development.
◾ Are fluent in English, other languages are meriting
◾ Are familiar with or have a strong interest to learn to use one or several of the following; Kimball architecture patterns, Power BI Premium features like Deployment Pipelines, Scorecards, and Data Flows, Azure DevOps capabilities
