Data Governance Lead

We are building the foundation for utilizing data at large scale through ensuring high quality data with clear processes and we are looking for a Data Governance Lead to shape and execute this ambition.

The position
As our new Data Governance Lead you will set direction for how Product Supply handles data through stakeholder management, shape the local data governance organisation, creating policies, investigating technical opportunities and limitations and change management.

The data governance lead is responsible for the processes of Product Supply’s data and ensuring that data remains accurate, consistent, and secure. Their duties include establishing data policies, maintaining data quality, and managing data-related risks. The data governance lead acts as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders and ensures that data remains aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. To ensure support for data governance and investigate how to solve the problems of the business, the data governance lead needs to facilitate and organize business stakeholder.

In summary, the data governance lead plays an essential role in ensuring the integrity of data, which is critical for success in today's datadriven world.

The role primarily operates from the office in Ballerup.

Main responsibilities: 

• Drive investigation of upcoming projects and request to mature these to an executable state.
• Visualise and report value creation from data governance.
• Ensure buy in and alignment from management and collaboration partners.
• Create and drive implementation of data governance policies.
• Engage line of business through workshops, forums or other means of communication. 
• Act as a data governance change agent.
• Support data product mgmt. on what is required of them and their products to live up to data governance requirements.

Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute both professionally and personally. To succeed in the role, you have a proven track record in most of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business economics, information management.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong leadership qualities; driving a strategic agenda, organising stakeholders, cocreating solutions to business problems.
• Strong facilitation skills.
• Knowledge on data governance processes.
• Ability to create business process structures to solve problems.
• Excellent change management skills.
• Knowledge on pharmaceutical business processes, agile/scrum, data products, and data platforms will be an advantage.

As a person you are passionate about delivering value from enabling high quality data. You can quickly adapt in different environments and navigate both technical problem solving and complex stakeholder landscapes. You are very structured in your approach, can deal with a fast pace and a steep learning curve, are very proactive and independent, flexible, self-driven, and team oriented. You are eager to learn, and you are curious in nature. You are also an outgoing person and confident in interacting with different stakeholders, at many levels, and able to proactively get involved in relevant technical and non-technical discussions.

You will be part of the PS Data Governance & Insights department in Digital, Data & IT. We set strategic direction within data governance and insights solutions in Novo Nordisk.
