The position

As a Data Governance Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the data governance framework, ensuring its effective integration into ongoing initiatives. Your position will be within the Data Governance team in the Data & AI Governance department.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Operationalise a data governance framework across new data modalities in Novo Nordisk Development 
  • Ensure continuous improvement of data governance framework according to evolving compliance requirements and feedback from key user groups
  • Support incoming questions about access to human data for secondary purposes
  • Maintain and optimise our processes and policies on a continuous basis to ensure high data utility in a responsible and ethical way and that it meet the demand in a fast-moving data science landscape 
  • Coordinate governance activities between the FounData project team and Data & AI Governance, ensuring seamless communication and compliance with all requirements, such as: flow of information, monitoring project progress, training and guaranteeing that all necessary stipulations are met by the project team
  • Ensure alignment across functions and organisational levels, including senior level management 

 

Qualifications

To be a competitive candidate, you should have:

  • Master in a relevant field combined with minimum 3+ years of experience within data governance, data management or project management ideally in a pharmaceutical or technology context, consulting or large organisations
  • Experience with leading projects and translating business/compliance requirements into practice  
  • Experience with driving change with high business impact
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills that will enable you to drive change across multiple stakeholders and partners 
  • Understanding the GDPR requirements would be a significant benefit

As a person, you have an innovative mindset and passion for modern data governance including developing and improving strategic data framework. You have solid data analytical skills and structured methodical approach to individual and common tasks and strong communication skills with a flair for structure and strong project management skills.

 

About the department

We currently have more than 400 colleagues in Clinical Data Operations & Insights – across Denmark, India, The United Kingdom, North America, and Spain. We are responsible for collecting, processing, and delivering all Novo Nordisk clinical data for further use and analysis as well as for regulatory submissions.
