The position
- Determine the data management needs that apply to a scientific organisation, including approaches to data confidentiality, data privacy, data regulation, data security, data quality, data retention and archiving.
- Determine approaches for embedding data management and governance into the day-to-day operations of Research and Early Development.
- Develop strategies for data sharing and collaboration with external parties.
- Align strategy with global practices where possible.
- Develop and implement harmonised data policies and procedures for working with internally and externally generated scientific data; partnering with Legal, Compliance, Privacy and other organisations within Novo Nordisk as appropriate.
- Ensure sensitivity of data and confidentiality levels of data are defined and understood.
- Partner with Data Ontologists to ensure use of Novo Nordisk’s data standards and ontologies.
- Partner with Data Stewards to advance a data centric approach to drug discovery and development.
- Develop and implement data quality metrics and monitor data quality to identify and address data issues.
- Provide preferred technology solutions to development teams to ensure robust data lineage and data quality.
Requirements
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we expect you to have:
- Life Science experience is needed and preferred
- MSc degree in life sciences or a related field, with 5+ years experience with solid data management.
- Expert in the full Data Development Life Cycle.
- Prior experience in Data Classification.
- Knowledge and understanding of FAIR principles.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will additionally have:
- Exposure to cloud platforms: AWS, MS Azure or GCP.
