We are excited to welcome a Data Science Specialist to our growing DTU Proteomics Core Platform at DTU Bioengineering! In this impactful role, you will specialize in the analysis of proteomics data, applying your expertise in data science, cloud computing, machine learning, and bioinformatics to support cutting-edge research across the department and together with industry partners.
As a core member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with the DTU Proteomics Core and be affiliated with the Data Science Hub, offering analytical support for both internal and external projects. The DTU Proteomics Core is a well-established facility, providing state-of-the-art mass spectrometry-based proteomics analysis for both academia and industry. Your primary mission will be to deliver tailored bioinformatics services, develop robust data analysis pipelines for proteomics, and deploy solutions to the cloud to enhance the research capabilities of the DTU Proteomics Core facility and the department. Additionally, you will lead educational initiatives, promoting bioinformatics and proteomics literacy to empower researchers across DTU Bioengineering.
This role is essential in linking diverse research groups, positioning you at the forefront of innovative proteomics and data science applications. You will act as a consultant to guide and shape the formulation of research questions and experimental design, applying a creative and out-of-the-box approach to solve complex scientific challenges. You will be engaged in a fast-paced, top-tier research environment that encourages innovative thinking and the pursuit of transformative solutions.
Your contributions will drive meaningful research in biotechnology, systems biology, and related fields, working with a dedicated team of proteomics experts and data scientists to pioneer new discoveries and solutions. You will play a pivotal role in bridging diverse research groups, enabling interdisciplinary insights and fostering collaborations that amplify the impact of our research.
The job
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Data Science Specialist with a strong background in bioinformatics and data science, and a keen interest in proteomics and cloud computing. You will play a crucial role in our team, working closely with researchers to analyze proteomics data, provide insightful solutions and deliver insights. You will be affiliated with a growing team of data scientists, engineers, and a data manager in our newly established Data Science Hub at the department. As part of the Data Science Hub, supporting researchers throughout the department.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
