We seek a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and cutting-edge language model applications to assist us in turning complex health and pharmaceutical data into actionable insights. This role involves working closely with large health datasets to deliver innovative data-driven solutions and contribute to our mission of creating value for patients and society through efficient, safe, and available medicines and medical devices.
Responsibilities: - Analyze and visualize datasets using Python and R to uncover trends and patterns.
- Develop and deploy machine learning (ML) models and Large Language Model (LLM)-based solutions for predictive analytics and automation.
- Design and maintain scalable data mining pipelines to extract value from large, complex datasets.
- Optimize ML models and LLM performance to ensure reliable results on real-world data.
- Manage and maintain SQL databases, ensuring efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval.
- Implement and oversee best practices in data governance and security compliance for robust and secure data management.
Qualifications - Proven experience with Python and R for data analysis, visualization, and machine learning.
- Expertise in working with LLMs to extract insights, automate workflows, and analyze textual data.
- Strong background in building and fine-tuning ML models for predictive analytics on real-world datasets.
- Experience designing and optimizing data mining pipelines for large datasets within the health data domain.
- Proficiency in SQL database management, including data storage, retrieval, and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles, including versioning, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.

About the employment You will be employed under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
Starting date of employment is expected May 1, 2025.
Depending on your experience and qualifications, you will be employed as an academic staff member, specialist, or chief consultant.
A precondition for employment at the Danish Medicines Agency is that you do no own shares within the medical or pharmaceutical industry.
