This is the position

As our new Demand Planner, you’ll join a lean and tight-knit Merchandise Planning team based in our HQ in the heart of Copenhagen. You will play a pivotal role in driving our success by analyzing historical data and market trends to forecast demand, ensuring optimal stockholding and efficient supply flow to warehouses, based on store demand. In addition, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchandise Planning to optimize our supply chain and meet customer needs effectively.

Job purpose

The purpose of a Demand Planner is to accurately forecast consumer demand to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimize stockouts and overstocks, and support supply chain efficiency. This role involves analyzing sales trends, market data, and promotional activities to create reliable demand forecasts, coordinating with various departments to align supply with demand, and adjusting plans as needed to meet business objectives and customer needs.

Responsibilities

Forecasting Excellence: Develop accurate product forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality insights by leveraging advanced forecasting techniques, tools, and your commercial insights and business acumen.

Performance Monitoring: Track and report on the accuracy of demand forecasts compared to actual sales and other key performance metrics.

Data Analysis: Clean and analyze historical sales data and inventory levels to identify patterns, trends, and shopping behavior that drive demand.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with merchandise planning and various teams to gather inputs, align supply with demand, and ensure seamless coordination across departments.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and optimization in demand planning, including documentation of current processes and principles.

Risk Management: Assess potential risks and uncertainties, developing contingency plans to address any challenges.

Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in demand planning processes to enhance overall efficiency, effectiveness and collaboration.

Stakeholder Communication: Present demand forecasts, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders. Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing forecast performance and implications.

Your Qualifications

Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in forecasting methods, modelling, and concepts.

Excel Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced analytics functions.

Tech Savvy: Familiarity with demand planning software, forecasting tools, and ERP systems.

Problem-Solving Abilities : Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve planning challenges.

Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure data integrity.

Retail/Merchandise Planning Experience: Proven experience in a B2C demand planning or merchandise planning role
