Job Description
This is a field-based position with significant travel, both domestic and abroad, CME and Congress activities. As the Key Account Manager dedicated to new therapy area, you will be responsible for the area of Denmark.
What you will do
- Sales Promotion & Strategy Implementation
- Enhance company awareness, value, effectiveness, and profitability through successful sales promotion activities.
- Collaborate with regional and national stakeholders, including Country Managers and Key Account Managers, to implement and align strategies and initiatives.
- Optimize the positioning and visibility of Santen products across pharmacies, optician stores, other sales channels, and online platforms.
- Stakeholder & Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders, including pediatric ophthalmologists, opticians, and clinic personnel, to position Santen as a preferred partner.
- Strengthen customer relationships at regional and national levels, working closely with Country Manager and Key Account Managers to drive satisfaction and collaboration opportunities.
- Support Key Account Managers in executing customer collaboration initiatives on both national and sub-regional levels.
- Market Insights & Strategic Alignment
- Actively collect customer feedback and market insights to identify opportunities for improving Santen’s products and initiatives.
- Share insights with the team and management to inform decision-making and enhance New Therapy Area programs.
- Coordinate with country managers to ensure strategic alignment, considering country-specific needs, regulations, and initiatives.
- Marketing Material Localization
- Manage the translation and adaptation of marketing materials in collaboration with the Country Manager to ensure relevance and effectiveness in local markets.
- Safety & Quality Compliance
- Collect and report safety-related information (e.g., adverse events) to the Pharmacovigilance Unit and quality-related information (e.g., complaints) to the Quality Assurance department in compliance with current requirements.
Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in account management and sales within industries related to healthcare. Familiarity with the healthcare systems and regulations in the Nordics and Denmark.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to engage and manage relationships with various healthcare professionals, including opticians, ophthalmic pediatrics, children clinic personnel, and school nurses.
- Communication and Collaboration: Fluency in both English and Danish and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with stakeholders at different levels. Team-oriented mindset with a focus on supporting colleagues and enhancing overall program success. Experience in presenting and reporting on program outcomes to senior management.
- Adaptability and Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Life Sciences, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management. Advanced degrees or certifications in ophthalmology, optometry, or related fields are a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions. Comfortable with data analysis and reporting tools to track program performance. Proficiency in using CRM software and other project management tools.
