As Director of Platform Engineering, you will assume leadership of the group of engineering teams responsible for building the technology platform on which we base our products and services.
The deliveries of the teams span from making very concrete key contributions to the product to supporting other teams with capabilities and tools.
More than 40,000 clubs and schools in 90+ countries use Veo, and more than 50,000 matches are uploaded weekly.

What you will do:
- Be the driver behind a highly scalable and maintainable technology platform
- Ensure that the work of the group serves the customer, internal or external
- Hire high-level engineers
- Motivate and coach teams
- Be a key contributor to technical alignment and good engineering practices within our engineering department
- Manage FTE and cost budget across the group
- Drive important topics like security, business continuity and on-call
Qualifications:
- Deep experience with cloud infrastructure and architecture at scale
- Experience in designing a modern platform
- Solid engineering background, both educationally and as a hands-on individual contributor
- Extensive engineering leadership experience as a director or higher
- Awesome personality contributing to an innovative positive team spirit
- Knows what good looks like when it comes to building and operating large-scale cloud platforms
- Ideally real-world experience with video processing and or ML inference at scale
- Preference for leading through empowerment and trust
- Ability to go deep in the tech and discuss challenges
- Comprehensive verbal and written English communication skills

You’ll play a vital part in our success, helping ensure that our developers have the right tools and a seamless experience utilizing various technologies across the business.
As the person responsible for building and scaling our digital platform, you will work on the foundation of product architecture and lead the product development team in implementing, optimizing, and further experimenting with Veo's core product pillars. You will also play an active part in defining and delivering the overall strategy.
