Job description

Your task will be to develop and implement reliable, scalable, and cyber-secure IIoT & Industry 4.0 based digitalization and software solutions for companies, typically manufacturers and companies relying on heavy machinery. You will be working with your team members under the lead and guidance of the solution architect to achieve the best possible solution for the client.

Tasks:

• Design, develop, test, implement, and support digitalization and IIoT software solutions for industrial applications.
• Analyze and process data from IIoT devices to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
• Ensure cyber security, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical support to end-users.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in digitalization, IIoT, and related technologies.
• Occasionally work abroad.

Hard skills & certificates:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 2 years or more experience in a relevant position.

Knowledge of relevant concepts:

• Cyber Security for IIoT devices
• Understanding of industrial automation concepts, like PLCs, VFDs, Electrical signals.
• Industry 4.0
• Industrial IoT

Experience with:

• IIoT and Linux Expertise:
• Proficiency with Linux, including Yocto-based systems.
• Experience with over-the-air (OTA) updates.
• Familiarity with ARM processors and x86 architectures.
• Working with existing single-board computers.
• Programming and Software Development:
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
• Experience with Linux-based environments and Docker containerization.
• Electrical Experience:
• (Industrial) communication, including Modbus TCP & RTU, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, CAN-bus, RS232 and RS485
• Understanding of Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols, including OPC UA and S7-Online.
• Experience with I/O systems:
• Digital signals.
• Analog signals.
• Basic electrical engineering principles, including working with 24V DC to 230V AC systems.
• Familiarity with energy metering systems.
• Safe working practices in industrial environments.

Training provided

Training will be provided as part of the onboarding and the first 3-6 months of the employment as part of the specific vacancy. In parallel we draft after the probation time a Personal Development Plan for the employee.

How will the interviews be held

• First meeting is a 30-minute online introduction meeting.
• Second meeting is a 60-minute online technical meeting, and we provide an assignment for the potential candidate.
• Third meeting is an (online) presentation of the assignment by the candidate and finalising of the interviews.
