Employee for farrowing unit near Sæby

About us

We run a property with 640 sows and the sale of 30 kg pigs. In addition, we operate 225 hectares with cereals, rapeseed and peas. Our stable facility is well-designet. We have the entire production gathered in one stable, which is continuously maintained. We have a good entrance room with a canteen/office and fine bathroom facilities.

On a daily basis, you work closely with our experienced employee, Anton, and also have contact with owner Asbjørn, who is responsible for the mating and pregnancy department.

About the job

We are looking for a dedicated employee for our farrowing unit. You will primarily work independently, but will receive training and sparring from Anton. The position involves daily care of the farrowing unit, including the establishment of nursing sows, litter equalisation, general handling of the pigs and feed adjustment for sows.

Working time:

• 37 hours per week
• 6.30 -14.30 (Friday free 12.30)
• Weekend shift every 2nd or 3rd weekend (only a few hours from 7-10)

About you

We are looking for an employee who:

• Have some experience with farrowing units and pigs
• Speaks English or Danish
• Have a driver's license and can transport themselves to work
• Are good at cooperative and planning daily tasks
• Works efficiently during weekdays, so weekends can be taken more easily
