Employee to Maritime DTU to develop an educational and test platform - DTU Management

We are looking for an employee to support Maritime DTU in ensuring that the future research vessel of DTU will become a maritime test and education platform.  

The job
Maritime DTU is the point of contact for cross-cutting collaboration between DTU and external parties, including businesses, authorities, and other universities. In addition, Maritime DTU is represented in relevant maritime steering groups and partnerships. 

The aim of the centre is to:

• Strengthen the collaboration with the Danish maritime cluster The Blue Denmark on research and education
• Coordinate and facilitate business-oriented, interdisciplinary research
• Ensure training of several maritime engineers with broad skill sets
• Strengthen research collaboration with other universities, nationally and internationally

Responsibilities
As part of the Maritime DTU, you will collaborate closely with the other members of the center, across DTU and with other stakeholders. 

You will have the following responsibilities:

• The development of DANA V as an educational and test platform. This can include: 
  • Develop educational pilot projects
  • Develop a portfolio of educational offers and possibilities. 
  • Examine collaboration possibilities with other vessels for example Tarajoq Arctic Commando.
  • Potential collaboration with/in Greenland.
  • Collaboration with high schools and maritime educations in Denmark and Greenland.
• Support of maritime activities related to NFC
• Support of Maritime DTU in relation to administrative tasks and development.

We wish to find someone who:

• Are proficient in Danish and English (hign level in spoken and written).
• Are outgoing and collaborative.
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant field. 
• Knowledge about Arctic and Research Vessels is an advantage.

Moreover, you have a can-do-attitude and a strong personal drive. We expect you to thrive in a dynamic environment where you solve your tasks as part of a team, with freedom to self-organize. By nature, you are keen to learn. We expect you to grow your skill set as part of your job here.

You might have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant academic field.

If you have knowledge about and experience working with the maritime research and/or business community it is an advantage.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement either with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) or OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for Office Clerks, Laboratory Technicians and IT staff (HK/stat).

The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, at Maritime DTU placed at DTU Management.
