This is a unique opportunity to join us as an Energy Expert-in-Residence for 2-6 months, where you'll collaborate with our team to turn your expertise into a high-impact business.

About the Role:
As an Energy Expert-in-Residence, you’ll work closely with KRING’s experienced team of entrepreneurs to explore and validate new business ideas in the energy sector. You will leverage your technical expertise to help build and shape a new venture, with the goal of spinning it out as a scalable company where you take on the role of founder.
What You’ll Do:
Apply Your Expertise: Bring your deep technical knowledge to assess business opportunities, providing insights on feasibility, market potential, and impact within the energy sector.
Co-Build a Business: Collaborate with KRING to structure the business, develop go-to-market strategies, and refine the business model, all while focusing on making it scalable and sustainable.
Validate and Test: Work on market validation and product testing to ensure commercial viability. We’ll guide you in refining your value proposition and preparing the company for market entry.
Leverage Our Network: Gain access to KRING’s network of corporate partners, advisors, and industry leaders to help accelerate your venture’s growth.
Receive Pre-Seed Capital: If the business is validated, KRING will provide pre-seed funding to help launch the company, with you as the founder and KRING as a co-creator and supporter.
Areas of Expertise We’re Looking For:
We're open to various areas of expertise within the energy sector, including but not limited to:
Grid Flexibility: Expertise in grid stability, integrating renewable energy through Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), demand response platforms, or energy storage systems (ESS).
Smart Buildings: Deep understanding of retrofitting, building energy efficiency, or potential applications of technology to optimize energy consumption.
Electric Mobility: Experience with EV charging infrastructure, vehicle-to-grid/home (V2G/H) technologies, or solutions that accelerate sustainable transportation.
Workforce Development: Experience in education, training platforms, or workforce solutions that addresses the skills gap in the energy sector.
We also welcome expertise and innovative ideas in other clean energy areas, so please apply if you’re interested.
Key Requirements:
Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of the energy industry and specific technical expertise in at least one of the areas above.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with energy sector regulations and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
Strong Communication: Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and inspire others.
Resilience and Drive: The ability to overcome challenges with unwavering determination and pivot when necessary.
