DSB is investing heavily in data and AI.

Right now, we are, e.g., acquiring the entire S-train infrastructure from Banedanmark, introducing new autonomous S-trains, and replacing all our regional and intercity trains with new ones—packed with IoT devices and systems, pouring out data at an unprecedented rate.

This transition emphasizes our operations' critical need for data quality, real-time data management, and flexible data utilization.

In addition, we want to utilize ML and AI to create the best possible solutions for internal colleagues and our customers.

Join IT Architecture at DSB! In IT architecture, we work with executive management and the business to define the IT landscape at DSB. We focus on building collaboration across domains and systems to ensure an effective and coherent IT environment throughout DSB.

We are 19+ architects, ranging from solution architects, system architects, and domain architects to enterprise architects.

Says Henrik, our Principal Enterprise Architect since 2022, focusing on train operations.

Your Day-to-Day as an Enterprise Data Architect You will be important in shaping DSB's future data and AI strategy as we explore the opportunities presented by new trains and technologies. This includes enhancing our existing platforms and applications and implementing new ones.

You will work closely with all DSB areas and collaborate daily with the Data and AI departments, including BI and core data teams.

Your primary tasks will include

• Developing/evolving data and AI strategies
• Participation in high-profile projects and programs
• Creating and expanding architecture, principles and standards
• Ensuring compliance and adoption across DSB through communication and collaboration

You will work closely with business stakeholders to expand DSB’s use of Data and AI while prioritizing data governance.

Henrik notes,

“As an EA, you can both inspire and set the framework for the development of the systems, the data and the landscape in a broader sense.

There is also a certain degree of "architectology" – the combination of architecture and archaeology work – which, through excavation work, makes it possible to make informed choices for the development of the existing system landscape."

Who Are You? We are looking for someone highly motivated to create and expand a data-driven business and who has a broad understanding of ML and AI in all their different aspects.

You have a keen interest in using your technical skills and experience to translate complicated theories into strategies, principles, guidelines, and practical solutions.

You recognize yourself in the following description

• Leadership: you ensure accountability, inspire followership, and collaborate with colleagues to manage your projects and programs.
• Functioning as a bridge between business and IT, recognizing business requirements alongside the business analyst and business owner.
• Communicating the key points and slides you create, confidently presenting from the podium.

Professionally, the following points describe your qualifications

• Classic EA virtues: strategy, roadmaps, governance, and more.
• Solid experience with data and AI strategies and roadmaps with a broad and deep understanding of both elements.
• Have been part of large-scale transformative journeys.
• Experience implementing industry standards within data modelling.
