The starting date for this maternity cover will be on 1 May 2025, and the end date on 1 April 2026.
The Position
You will work in our Danish and EU Government Affairs team, being responsible for driving and implementing our global public affairs engagement on environmental and climate legislation of key importance for Novo Nordisk. You will be working in a close, multi-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues in Corporate Environmental Strategy, Product Supply and the part of the team that is based in Brussels.
Key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring strategic advocacy on EU green files of key importance for Novo Nordisk’ operations
• Supporting Corporate Environmental Strategy through public affairs plans and execution of external engagement and advocacy
• Assessing and analysing key policy trends, risks and opportunities and their potential impact on Novo Nordisk
• Working strategically with key external partners and representing Novo Nordisk in relevant global organisations and fora
The role is based in our global headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark, however, international travel (10%) mainly to Brussels, commensurate with the role.
Qualifications
As an ideal candidate, you have a Master’s Degree in Political Science, International Business or a related field combined with 5+ years of relevant work experience in public affairs in sustainability, health, industry, consultancy or public institutions.
Success criteria for this role include:
• A deep understanding of and ability to navigate in complex political environments and within matrix organisations. Experience with interactions in political environments is a requirement
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience in designing and forming partner-ships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Experience working internationally with a proven track record in delivering public affairs en-gagements
• An analytical mindset with strong skills to understand very technical issues and translate them to policy messages
• Excellent communication and presentations skills, along with strong command of written and spoken English, and Danish as an asset

Global Public Affairs and Patient Relations is part of the Global Public Affairs & Sustainability area in Novo Nordisk. We are an active partner for patients and policymakers raising the standards of care in our therapy areas and helping solve society’s fundamental challenges. The team covers health and corporate issues focusing on main markets, leading EU relations and home market corporate and public affairs.
