Do you want to take part in a journey towards a truly international future for engineering students? And are you interested in playing a part in securing financial support for students going abroad, and working with international programmes? Then this position, may be of interest to you.

The Office for Study Programmes and Student affairs (AUS) is seeking a new colleague to assist with Erasmus+ scholarship processing and tasks related to EU student mobility and international joint programme administration.

AUS is organized into six offices with about 90 employees. AUS’s mission is to develop and support the educational process at DTU, with a focus on our students.

The position as European Mobility Assistant is placed in the Office of International Education, where you will join a group of 23 highly competent colleagues. Together our assignment is to create the best possible framework for strong in- and outbound student mobility and contribute to the recognition of DTU as an international elite university with a global learning environment, who equip its graduates with a strong skillset to work globally.

The office is divided into four teams – and you will be placed in Team Exchange, which is made up of 12 colleagues. Team Exchange has student mobility at its very core – including all the processes that support and enable students to complete part of their education abroad or take a virtual course at a partner institution. The team consists of colleagues who work with international partnerships and educational collaboration, where semester exchange is at the centre, other colleagues work with the formal recognition of courses taken at other institution in terms of credit transfer – and yet other colleagues work with strategic initiatives with selected international partners.

Your biggest task will be processing Erasmus+ grant applications and your closest colleague will be our Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator. But that is not all! In this position, you will also play a role in relation to our European Universities Project - EuroTeQ – where you will participate in a working group and be a central part of the administration of virtual mobility at DTU, and you will be assisting with administrative tasks related to our International Joint Programmes. Overall the position provides a lot of opportunities to work with many aspects of international student mobility – and interact with stakeholders at many different levels and in many different countries.

Your daily tasks will not require knowledge of Danish – but as most of the administration works in Danish, you can expect to encounter Danish at larger meetings. We therefore expect from you, that you are currently on a track to learning Danish.

The job
Your tasks will consist in the following

  • Process Erasmus+ Grant applications – and assist students through the application process, when needed
  • Be a key player in data registration in relation to virtual mobility – both in collecting, storing and distributing data – with partners and other stakeholders
  • Participate in relevant working groups in EuroTeQ, as needed
  • Assist with distributing, sharing and storing important data and documentation related to our international Joint Programmes.

Our expectations of you
We expect that you

  • Have a close eye and focus on data quality and understand the crucial role correct registration plays
  • It is mandatory that you write and speak English at a high level and feel comfortable using this in a professional setting. You are also expected to have the ambition of learning Danish – and understand that some internal meetings may be conducted in Danish.

We do not expect that you have a ton of working experience – but we expect that you are eager to learn and that your interest fit the job description! This could mean that you may have finished your education recently. It is considered an advantage if you prior knowledge of Erasmus+ and European mobility - potentially, from your own mobility experience.

The position is a full-time position with 37 working hours a week in average. Starting date is November 1, 2024 (or according to mutual agreement).

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus. (or one of the other locations).
