Are you an experienced strategic leader with a proven track record of success in driving retail expansion? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and possess a deep understanding of international markets?

JACK & JONES is looking for a highly accomplished Expansion Director to play a pivotal role in shaping our future growth across Europe and Canada as well as our venture into the Middle East and Australia. There are more than 1,000 JACK & JONES stores worldwide, out of which we operate more than 700 own stores – and this is your chance to leverage your expertise and passion to lead our expansion efforts to new heights, since we’ll be opening +100 own stores annually in the coming years.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Expansion Director you drive the overall strategy holding a holistic approach for everything related to JACK & JONES’ expansion. You will work closely with our local expansion teams in the markets, to identify and secure prime locations, negotiate leases, and build strong relationships with landlords and internal stakeholders. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive expansion strategy in collaboration with local retail managers, aligned with JACK & JONES’ overall goals and vision
  • Identify and secure new landlords and locations for JACK & JONES store concepts, ensuring they meet brand standards and market potential.
  • Collaborate with local expansion team in negotiating and finalizing commercial lease agreements with landlords, aiming for the best possible terms and conditions for JACK & JONES.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local expansion teams in each country, providing guidance and fostering collaboration.
  • Track and analyse retail performance across markets, identifying opportunities for growth, including relocation, expansion, and new store openings.
  • Stay informed on global and regional retail trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Oversee expansion budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Travel extensively across Europe and Canada – and in time also the Middle East and Australia - to meet with landlords, expansion teams, and other stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of driving a strategic agenda with a holistic approach, successfully developing and implementing a roadmap for achieving specific goals.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure win-win outcomes for JACK & JONES and landlords.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of key financial metrics and performance drivers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-cultural teams.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently.
