The role
As a concrete worker, you will be working as part of a team to ensure that the job is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Your role involves ensuring the proper installation of steel reinforcements, forms and other materials before pouring concrete, and operating a variety of tools and equipment in a safe manner.
The work is to be performed in Denmark with a project duration of approx. 5 months.
The person
You must be able to read and work from engineering drawings and able to work on your own initiative. You should also be able to work in a busy environment as required by customer.
Ideally experienced in high quality constructions, although applicants that show they have an eye for quality and attention to detail will be well considered.
PERSONAL SKILLS
- Work under minimal supervision and has good communication
- Document actions by completing production documents.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Monitor equipment for appropriate usage and temperature
- Assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate building methods
- Plan by studying work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and parameters
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
- Practical interest in building foundations etc.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing and finishing techniques
- Experience with power tools and equipment operation
- Physical stamina and endurance to perform demanding tasks
- Ability to lift heavy objects and materials
- Good attention to detail. Able to work as a team player, performing to a high standard.
- Workers are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- The candidate must be flexible, moving into another project as work demands
- Valid driver's license and experience in reading drawings and specifications
- English language at minimum B2 level in speaking, understanding and writing
- Proof of right to work in Denmark
EXPERIENCE
- Time served concrete and foundation workers with five years’ experience in the sector.
- Candidates must be fully proficient in reading engineering drawings, following and understanding specific work instructions.
- Knowledge/experience of working with concrete and building materials
- Candidates would need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of Quality Controls and material traceability. Also be prepared to work to tight deadlines and show willingness to adapt to changes in operation process requirements.
- Relevant experience ideally gained from working in a construction environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mix and pour concrete into specific ratios.
- Ensure all needed materials are available before pouring.
- Prepare and Install steel reinforcements and forms to hold poured concrete.
- Move and shape wet concrete on site.
- Operate specialized equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work site
The conditions
A good working environment at our customers production- or project sites, based on working 37 hour per week. You will often be hired out to a specific project, where – at times or for periods of time – a considerable amount of work outside and in addition to normal working hours are required. As such, you must be willing to adjust your workload accordingly.
